Sustainability in action, this is how we take our role and close the loop together.

Recycling in large volumes

The terminal capacity allows us to handle large volumes and efficiently utilize this scale to achieve favorable pricing for the entire chain. Sustainability also has meaning in terms of affordability in a longterm perspective.
The port as connecting point is an important aspect. All modes of transportation can be used to receive or send materials. This includes the import of large volumes of secondary raw materials from overseas to replace bottom-ash/fly-ash, which is less availiable as a by-product due to the decommissioning of coal-fired power stations.

Expertise in processing

With our own screening and crushing installations, we separate the very fine fractions (<0.06mm) from the coarser fractions, each of which receives its own specific renewable application as a raw material. Concrete railroad sleepers from rail tracks are first crushed, after which the concrete is separated into various sizes using the screening installations, and prepared as a secondary raw material for the construction/concrete industry. The steel components of these sleepers are directed to the steel scrap recycling flow for the steel industry. This is how we combine our strengths as a port terminal, recycler, producer and trader.
