Steel Scrap as a reusable raw material

Steel Scrap is playing an increasingly important role worldwide as a reusable raw material in the production of raw iron and steel. Due to the transition to a different method of steel production, the global demand for high-quality scrap steel is increasing. This includes the use of Electric Arc Furnaces based on the use of scrap steel with the aim of reducing CO2 emissions compared to the conventional blast furnace process, which uses coke produced with a significant CO2 emission.

Long term partnering

We focus on developing long-term partnerships with major market players on both the production and consumption sides. We combine our longstanding relationships with European scrap suppliers, market and product knowledge, favorable transport participation, and last but not least, our position in the Port of Amsterdam with our own deepwater terminal. From there we function as a hub between the logistics modalities of sea shipping, inland waterway transport, rail and road transport.

Circular economy in progress

The activities in the recycling and production of secondary raw materials for the construction industry are complementary to our scrap activities. This includes our participation in demolition projects of large industrial complexes or structures where both concrete aggregate and steel scrap become available as recyclate, which then find their way back into the circular economy.

Please reach out if you see options for cooperation in the steel scrap sector and/or large-scale demolition projects.
