Handling Methodes

In the port of Amsterdam, large quantities of dry bulk goods are processed as essential raw materials for various sectors. This must be done with the utmost care for people, environment and the surroundings, adhering to stringent work methods and techniques.
Our specialised dust suppression mobile unit is a good example of such a method where the emission of small dust particals is prevented. Additionally, bulk cargoes with a higher risk of dust emissions are treated with crust formers that retain fine particles, which is important in windy conditions. By using rainwater in a circular system in our processing equipment, we avoid unnecessary consumption of drinking water.

Recycling / Circular Economy

Together with our stakeholders (such as Industry, Port of Amsterdam, and the surrounding area), we form a link in the supply chain of renewable materials. The common interest is self-evident and will grow further in the future. Secondary raw materials and renewable applications like building materials and steel scrap for greening the steel industry  will become increasingly important.
KB Group, with the combined functions (port, logistics and trade) forms a robust and future-proof concept.
